Jeep India Aims Dealership Expansion; Planning to Acquire 80 Dealerships by 2023-End

Jeep India, after scoring up-top high in presenting premium SUVs in the country, has decided to move up its retail footprint PAN India. By the end of 2023, the carmaker is going all hyped to acquire around 80 automobile dealerships as revealed by the company on 5th November, 2023. PTI has reported that the auto manufacturer as of now has 72 touchpoints in around 64 cities in the country and plans to give a huge boost to this number by the end of this year to seek more customers PAN India.

From the past few years, there has been a phenomenal shift towards demand for SUVs and premium cars across the country. And, Jeep India, being a major player in this very segment is planning to acquire a larger chunk in the Indian market. And with this very aim, the brand is aiming to boost their dealership network across the country to reach more potential customers. This will automatically spike the brand’s sales in the coming days. Recently, the brand has launched their newest dealership in Tamil Nadu, where it revealed their strategy for overall retail expansion.

In continuation with the cardmaker's strategy for overall retail footprint expansion, Aditya Raj, Deputy MD at Jeep India Operations Head and Stellantis India, reportedly commented that the opening of the new dealership is in line to strengthen its service footprint across the country by increasing its network to 80 dealerships by the end of of 2023. “The continued expansion demonstrates Jeep India’s firm commitment to the Indian market and to the Jeep community, "he reportedly added. 

Jeep India is currently selling SUVs like Grand Cherokee, Meridian, Compass, and Wrangler in the country. And the company’s most affordable SUV comprises only Jeep Compass. Also, the Jeep Compass SUV has been instrumental in surging the US-based auto manufacturer’s sales across the country over the last few years, since its launch. 

Along with selling the models in the country, Jeep also develops its range of SUVs in the country for export purposes. India as of now is the only country outside North America where the iconic SUV maker manufactures 4 models locally and also exports them to other right-hand-drive markets globally.
